So this week i am responding to the Poetry packet we had to go over for class. I have Chosen a few poems i would like to talk about. If any one has any comments please share them i would like to know what other people thought of the same poems.
First "dream cycle" I like this poem mainly because I like icecream but thats beside the point. This poem is simple easy and fun tjats really all i can say about it. It reminds me of icecream in the summer when i was a kid so i like it.
Next i would like to talk about the Susen Howe Poem i think its called "Gabion parapet". This poem is well, Odd to say the least even the sections that look like they are ment to go together are very eclectic and hard to read because every thing is angles disordered and on top of each other. i spent alot of time twisting and turning these pages to try and find what order to read things in or if there even was and order . I couldnt do it. Maybe some one can help me with that.
Last i want to talk about the Langston hughes poems as a Whole. The poems them selves were easy enough to desern, but the reson i wanted to say something about them is because, By the language and content i would say they were writen early to mid 1800. i cant tell if the person is racest or not but I will say it would be intresting to discuse and maybe we will in class.
